The 4C's
When we were looking around for our wedding band, we got to know some basic knowledge of diamonds. This was briefed to us by a sales person in SK. The value of a diamond is depends on this 4C's. So, what are the 4C's? Well, they are Cut, Carat, Color and Clarity.

Cut
Cut is refers to the excellent proportion, symmetry & polish. When a diamond is cut to excellent proportion and together with facets that are precisely aligned and perfectly polished, it produces an optimal brilliance.

An excellent symmetry and alignment will exhibit eight perfectly symmetrical and identical Hearts & Arrows, whereas an excellent polish is where all the 57 facets are being polished to its absolute smoothness.

Carat

Carat refers to the weight of a diamond. However, it does not necessarily mean that the bigger the better. A poorly cut bigger diamond will not be as brilliant as a smaller diamond that has been cut excellently. 

Color

The color of a diamond is determined completely by nature. The closer a diamond to colorless, the more valuable it is. According to diamond color grading, there are 23 levels of color grading which ranges from D (colorless) - Z (yellowest).

Clarity

Clarity measures a diamond's purity. Diamonds contain blemishes traces of minerals called inclusions. The fewer the inclusions, the greater the clarity and the more valuable it is.

There is a lot of things to be considered besides a diamond's carat. Make sure you are be prepared and do your homework before buying a diamond.

We have our pre-wedding package signed during the 8th Wedding Expo at Mid Valley last Sunday. The package includes:

We were both impressed by their photograpgy. It's differ from the other bridal shops that we've both surveyed. Their works is artistics unlike the other bridal shop which only focus on the couples.

Initially, we would like to get Dennis Yap as our pre-wedding photograhper. However, the price is rather expensive and it is totally out of our budget. Moreover, it only covers the photography session. We would have to spend on our reception day. End up, we met Lasposa and we signed the package on the spot. We have to pay 40% of the total on the spot. The 2nd payment (45%) to be paid during the photography session and the last payment (15%) to be paid during the collection of the albums.

However, I really like Dennis Yap's works. So, both of us decided to sign for his R.O.M package which costs us RM1,500. In total, we spent around RM5,500 for our R.O.M and pre-wedding photography.

Wedding Band

-December 2011-

We have spent our time to look around for our wedding band in Sunway Pyramid last year during Christmas. We have visited quite a numbers of Jewelry shops but at last we decided to go for Diamond & Platinum.

Our wedding band is with comfort fit design which means they are designed with a rounded inside so that they can easily slide on and sit on our finger comfortably (more details http://www.aisledash.com/2008/07/10/what-is-a-comfort-fit-wedding-band/).

Since both of us are rather small size, we have to resize our rings. His: Size 12; Mine: Size 7. My ring is adorned with small diamonds to make it shinner and his is just a simple and plain one.

In conjunction with their X'mas promotion, we are gifted a delicacy box.

求婚那件事

求婚这种事嘛…哈哈！不就是男的惊女的喜咯。男的心惊胆跳；女的喜悦万分。

他的求婚没让我太惊喜，反而多的是一种很温馨的感觉。一封情书、一枚戒指。
对于不善长书写、一看书便会打瞌睡的他来说，能够写出这么多的方块字已经算是很了不起的了。
在我读到最后一页时，他就拿出买了已久的戒指向我求婚。
当时的我当然是很开心的对他说—我愿意啦！哈哈！（恨嫁恨到…）

就这样他的求婚就成功了。还蛮简单的嘛…

事后我问他当时的心情，他说还蛮紧张的。拿出戒指的那一刻，他的手还有点发抖呢！

这一天会是我毕生难忘的圣诞节前夕。。。
